Areas of study
You will compare the person-centred approach to counselling to the psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural models, exploring some of the key elements of the theoretical backgrounds. There will be opportunities for you to engage in the reflective learning process, both as an individual and as a member of the group.
The course will be helpful if you wish to proceed to the BA (Hons) Person-centred Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship. Successful completion of the course will guarantee an interview for the 2019 intake of the BA.
Assessment will be a joint continuous process with feedback from the tutors and, on completion, students will be awarded 10 credits at Level 4.
