New Hope in Warwick are looking for some more experienced counsellors - probably a second placement (30-50 hours experience) or someone with significant prior experience in a related field.
Please contact them direct to find out more.
Placement Opportunity- Hospice - for experienced third/fourth year
I have been contacted by an organisation (a hospice with whom we have well established links) that is looking for a couple of placement students who already have some experience of working with clients. Because this is a small organisation with demanding work then they would like students who already have or have had a placement and who have around 40-50 hours of prior experience with clients. They're looking for a year's commitment and are hoping for you to be able to take on about 3 clients.
I realise that if you already have a placement this might be a stretch but if you are interested in widening your experience or need more hours and have time then this could be a really valuable opportunity. Please contact me and I will pass on contact details for the agency.
From a second year student:
Sycamore Counselling in Nuneaton are desperate for people to work on their reception. This would be a good agency for anyone looking to complete their work based learning. They may have placement opportunities available from mid 2019 but that isn't guaranteed. If they do have placement opportunities, priority is given to people who have volunteered on their reception.
Their website is http://sycamorecounselling.org.uk/

Safeline is now recruiting
Safeline is now taking applications from student counsellors looking for placements. Applications from 2nd and 3rd years are welcome and we actively encourage applications from male counsellors. First year students can also apply with a view to starting work with clients at the beginning of their second year.
We also have placements available in a Male Adult Category C prison based just outside Rugby. The Clinical Team would be happy to provide details of both placements.
Successful applicants will be required to complete Open College Network level 3 award ‘Working with Survivors of Sexual Abuse’, a 30 hour course which will be delivered at our Stratford upon Avon office. Training is over two week-ends 5th, 6th, 19th and 20th January 2019.
