THE LEICESTER COUNSELLING CENTRE offers placements to counsellors on BACP recognised courses at diploma level and above. Leicester Counselling Centre is a charity and it’s ethos is to provide affordable, long-term, individual counselling to anyone in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland aged 18 and over. The centre was established over 30 years ago by Michael Jacobs with some of his colleagues and therefore has many, many years of experience in working with placement counsellors. We have always been passionate about providing a training ground where new counsellors feel supported and encouraged every step of the way. Training as a counsellor is a long and emotional journey and it is vital that you feel at home in the organisation where you first start seeing clients.
We look for a minimum commitment of 2 years which enables you to carry out longer-term work with clients and gives you time to settle in and feel a part of our large team. Counselling at the Centre will give you a very broad experience of working with a wide range of clients and the issues they bring. If you are interested in applying for a placement at the Centre, please visit our website www.leicestercounsellingcentre.co.uk for more information or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form. We also welcome qualified counsellors to work on a voluntary basis. We look forward to hearing from you.
