Course: BA (Hons) Early Childhood top-up

"I chose to study the Early Childhood with honours degree at Warwick as I had already completed the Foundation degree in Early Childhood at Warwick and it seemed like the best natural step in my progression.

I also feel Warwick is a prestigious university to study at and I wanted to stay with my tutor who had been so supportive of me throughout the foundation degree.

It has been a hard year to complete my honours degree, first of all because I was on maternity leave with my baby girl alongside already having a little boy! Secondly, due to the Covid-19 pandemic which occurred right in the middle of my dissertation process. However, with the support of my family and amazing tutors I managed to power on.

Now the degree is compete, I plan to have a break for a couple of years and work part-time in my school so I can enjoy my daughter while she is young and spend time together, alongside being able to pick my son up from school and be present for school events. After this, I plan to progress onto my teacher training - which I hope to do through my schools school direct scheme which involves study at Warwick! (I cannot stay away).

I would recommend this degree to anyone who has the ambition and dedication to see it through. Particularly for working people like myself, who perhaps feel they do not have the time to complete a degree. You can at Warwick! It is not without its difficulties, and it takes real determination to see it through; however, I could not have asked for a more supportive set of tutors than I have had at this university. I would encourage anyone to go for it!"
