Nicola Liu

Welcome to my e-Portfolio page

I officially graduated with a first class Bsc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Warwick in 2016. In 2015, I was part of the Professor Laura Green Research Group as a technician, investigating sheep farmers’ attitudes to farm inspections and the role of sanctions and rewards as motivation to reduce the prevalence of lameness.

I have an interest in many different aspects of animal biology such as animal behavior, animal welfare, microbiology and epidemiology. These interests is what sparked me to do a Masters by Research degree.

I started my Masters by Research (MRes) in Life Sciences at the University of Warwick in 2016. My project investigates the survival and persistence of the primary causative agent of ovine footrot, Dichelobacter nodosus (D. nodosus). The project involves molecular approaches in an epidemiological framework in order to address the hypotheses of the project. To find out more about the project, click here.
