Civil Engineer Apprentice

Murphy Group are currently looking for outstanding individuals to join their degree apprenticeship programme, developed in partnership with the University of Warwick.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to embark on the first step in their civil engineering career, yet exploring options outside of traditional degree entry pathways. A degree apprenticeship with Murphy offers you the opportunity to gain invaluable experience, working with project teams on major construction projects based in England, whilst studying debt-free for a BEng (Honours) degree with a leading Russell Group University.
Over the course of your apprenticeship, you will work full-time in a civil engineering role for the Murphy Group, where you will be a key member of your assigned project team, responsible for the daily control, management and coordination of construction activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the required safety, environmental and quality standards.

HOW WILL I LEARN?
This five-year apprenticeship will see you gain your degree at Warwick University whilst you do live work with us. Working anywhere in the UK, you’ll get the student experience on a block-release programme: you’ll spend a week in Warwick while you attend lectures, then do 6-8 weeks of related work with us – then back to university again to repeat the process.

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING IS ON OFFER?
Integrated into the apprenticeship, you will receive five years off-the-job training for a BEng (Hons) Civil & Infrastructure Engineering degree at The University of Warwick. This will be delivered through an initial induction day, then 6 x 1 week blocks of teaching each year, where you will attend lectures, seminars, participate in laboratory work, and spend time with your academic tutors, supported by online learning.
