Anyone can get involved in making their own props for the procession.

Ahead of the Global Light Procession, Artist, Naoibh MacNamee will be helping participants make paper lanterns which reflect their own cultures.

We're teaming up with Warwick Arts Centre and the Students Union to bring you a mix of workshops and support to celebrate our global community!

Join us for this vibrant and playful introduction to contemporary batik. You will be guided through the intricate process of applying wax onto fabric with the opportunity to experiment with various colours and dyeing to bring your designs to life. At the end of the three sessions you will have created your own batik wall hanging to take home and display.

Workshop Wednesday: Global Light Procession Prop Making Workshop 4
Warwick Arts Centre

It’s time to celebrate our global community with ‘One World Warwick’! In this fourth and final prop making workshop, you can join artist, Naoibh McNamee to finish off your props and costumes before taking part in the Global Light Procession at 5pm that will weave its way through central campus accompanied by student musicians. As part of the build-up, there are also opportunities to grab a hot drink, get your face-painted and take part in the procession rehearsals.

And if you're not planning to take part? Feel free to drop in, take a look at the wonderful creations and watch the procession unfold!

Warwick Arts Centre are delighted to bring back the weekly foyer programme of live jazz, hosted by The Aaron Moloney Trio. As always, this event also features an open jam session for local musicians in the second half. Come and Play!
