What are the Anniversary Scholarships?

The Warwick IFP Anniversary Scholarships are a group of 30 scholarships designed to recognise the potential and academic ambition of our applicants and to celebrate thirty years of International Foundation Studies at the University of Warwick.

How many scholarships are there?

There are 30 scholarships in total – 28 x £1,200 scholarships and 2 x £5,000 scholarships.

How can I apply?

All applicants will be automatically considered for both types of scholarship.

  • The £1,200 scholarships will be based on a candidate’s application form and personal statement.
  • The £5,000 scholarships will be based on a candidate’s application form and personal statement and a shortlist of candidates will be invited to take part in a short video interview.

What do I need to do to be eligible?

In order to be considered for the Anniversary Scholarships you must:

What is the judging criteria?

The allocation of scholarships will be determined by a panel drawn from within the University of Warwick’s International Office. Judges will base their decisions on an applicant’s personal statement (of no more than 500 words) and will take into account the following:

  • The applicant's reason for studying the Warwick IFP
  • The applicant's academic ambition and potential
  • The applicant's aspirations and the way in which the IFP could support them
  • The written English of the applicant

Are scholarships regionally allocated?

The £5,000 scholarships are not regionally allocated and can be awarded to any applicant worldwide. An applicant's country of domicile will be used to determine which regional category they fall within.

Terms and Conditions
The decision of the judging panel will be final. Successful applicants will receive their scholarship in the form of an automatic fee reduction to the value of the scholarship awarded. In order to receive the scholarship, successful applicants must meet the full terms of their academic offer. Where a candidate is awarded a scholarship but fails to meet the academic terms of their offer, that scholarship will be reallocated to another student or rolled forward to the next academic year.
