Science and Engineering

Course Overview

This course concentrates on the core principles that underpin Science and Engineering.

We focus on developing your scientific and analytical skills, whilst linking them to some of the most pressing problems facing the world today, such as renewable energy, healthcare and climate change.

The course is designed to be both intensive and challenging, and will provide you with skills that are highly valued by universities. You’ll develop confidence and skills in a range of areas, from experimental methods to the role of mathematics in science.

The flexibility of the Science stream provides you with a range of options for continuing study and will equip you with the skills needed to enter undergraduate courses in areas such as Engineering, Computer Science or the Life Sciences, depending on the options you choose.

On all courses there are a range of core and elective module choices, with students studying four modules in total. Core modules on the Science and Engineering course are Mathematics for Science, and Inquiry and Research Skills.

Students will then choose two optional modules from either Physics or Biology and either Chemistry or Computer Science.

English language tuition will be tailored according to your needs and will include aspects such as IELTS preparation and English for Academic Purposes.

Modules are reviewed on a regular basis and therefore may be subject to change; our website will update to reflect any changes.
