I have worked with computers since I first discovered them at the age of 11; too many years ago. I followed my passion for software and hardware through school, university (to D.Phil level at the University of York) and into my 20 year career as a video game developer. After all these years, I still get a buzz from understanding how computers are used for so many varied and ground-breaking endeavours.
By joining Warwick IFP, I am looking forward to teaching Computer Science. I have been an active member of the Computing at Schools workgroup, where I developed an educational user manual for the Raspberry Pi computer in conjunction with the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Previously I was a visiting lecturer on the Games Technology BSc for Birmingham City University, the Software Engineering and Games Development BSc for Buckinghamshire New University, and the Game Design & Development MA at the National Film & Television School. I am also a STEM Ambassador.
