My Bio
This is my tenth year teaching on the Warwick International Foundation Programme.
I studied English at the University of Leeds and worked at the BBC and as a newspaper journalist before training as an English Language teacher in the 1990s. I have taught Ethiopian and Eritrean refugee children in London, adult learners in Italy and Finland and international postgraduate students on pre-sessional courses at King's College, London, and the University of Warwick. I have a Master's Degree in English Language Teaching awarded by the University of Warwick. My special interests are assessment and feedback, teacher training and learner autonomy.
In 2021 I was awarded the Warwick Award for Personal Tutoring Excellence (WAPTE).
