My Bio

Prior to joining the University of Warwick in September 2016, I worked as a Lecturer in Law at a Further Education College teaching A-Level Law and more recently, the Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Business. I delivered the Internet Marketing and Aspects of the Legal System units. I have also taught various undergraduate modules on the LLB at the University of Wolverhampton including Contract Law, Principles of Business and Corporate Law, English Legal System and Professional Development and Skills. My professional experience of working in the private and public legal sectors has enabled me to teach on the CILEx Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice, developing the knowledge and skills of trainee Legal Executives. During this time, I led the Civil Litigation, Client Care Skills and Introduction to Law units of study.

I hold an LLB (Hons) and obtained my LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights from the University of Warwick in 2010, specialising in the areas of Governance and Human Rights. I then went on to gain further post-graduate qualifications in Legal Practice from the College of Law and in Post-Compulsory Education in more recent years. My previous legal work experience in the private sphere was centered on public children's law and family matters. I also spent time working in public-sector legal services, working in Young Peoples’ Legal Services and the Corporate and Commercial Divisions. My research interests are mainly vested in exploring pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning within legal education.
