How did you find out about Warwick?

I went to a uni preparatory evening school while being in high school. There I heard about Warwick.

Did you consider applying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?

I also applied and was accepted to UCL, Durham, Manchester and Winchester. My siblings are smaller than me, and they are planning to stay in Hungary for university. Since I was among the first ones who went to a university abroad from my high school, all my hometown friends study in Hungary. In the preparatory school, people usually targeted English or Scottish universities like Warwick, UCL, Durham and Manchester, and a handful of people even got into Oxbridge. I chose Warwick because it is prestigious and relatively cheap compared to London.

Did you get in touch with the department prior to application?

I attended the University Open Days in the summer of 2016.

How did you find the application process?

I applied with the help of mentors from my preparatory evening school. I did not have any difficulty with my application and I did not need to apply for visa given I am EU citizen.

What is the best thing about studying at Warwick?

Have you joined any clubs or societies?

I am president in one society, vice-president in another and am active in several others.

Have you managed to travel during your studies?

UK not so much, but I am on saving money for that. I travel in Europe fairly often as travelling is my passion.

What makes you the happiest about being a student at Warwick?

My group of friends I guess and the feeling that I am making an impact through my work academically and in societies.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

I don't really know, I would love to do Masters and PhD but would also be okay with working and saving up for it first.

What advice would you give to someone considering applying to Warwick?

Join as many societies as one can take, they are great.
