BA/BSc Philosophy, Politics, Economics (PPE)

How did you find out about Warwick?

I heard about the University from friends, and also checked rankings and league tables.

Did you consider applying to other Universities? What made you choose Warwick?

I considered studying at universities like Oxbridge, UCL, LSE. My friends are all over the UK, though most in London. I enjoy campus life, and therefore universities in London cannot provide me with this. Moreover, PPE in Warwick is one of the best in terms of the quality of teaching. I did visit the campus during the Easter before the enrolment, and I contacted the PPE department about the course.

Did you receive any help with your application?

I applied through the normal process of UCAS, and I received help from my high school.

What is the best thing about Warwick?

The best thing about Warwick is how multi-cultural the students are. I am able to learn about different cultures and think in another perspective.

What is the accommodation like?

My accommodation last year (Jack Martin) was brilliant, a very good quality en-suite room.

Are you involved in any clubs or societies? If so, which ones?

I am the president of Warwick Hong Kong Public Affairs and Social Service Society, and we hold regular meetings about public affairs of Hong Kong, and Internationally. We also work with 20+ more HKPASS societies from different universities throughout the UK, holding services, debating and public speaking competitions, and many more events targeting to help gather Hong Kongers in the UK and also help to raise awareness of public affairs. Apart from WHKPASS, I am also a player of snooker and am currently the Events Secretary of the Warwick University Snooker and Billiards Club. I help organise regular Wednesday snooker sessions and competitions.

Have you travelled during your studies?

Yes, I have been travelling within the UK and in continental Europe with my friends.

What to you aim to do when you graduate? What are your goals and aspirations?

To help in building a better future for the world.

What makes you the happiest about your time at Warwick?

The friends I have made during my studies here.

What would you say to anyone considering studying at Warwick?

You will not regret coming here!
