How did you find out about Warwick?

Did you consider studying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?

I considered the Ivy League Universities in the United States and the University of Leicester, University of Birmingham, LSE and the like in UK. Warwick was a high tier University that is known for its Mathematics department, which is quite a big part of what I study now, and, being in the West Midlands, meant that I could study and also be close to family/relatives.

Did you contact the University or academic department before applying?

Not really. I checked out the university website and their rankings in the world. I asked about the Open day but unfortunately couldn't attend it.

How was your arrival? What were your first impressions of campus?

I initially was impressed at how massive the whole campus and university is, and the large amount of students, and the immense use of latest technology in various aspects of the university.

What is the best thing about being a student at Warwick?

Being part of a large international community and having access to very rare opportunities to learn and grow (and work at high tier finance companies).

How is your accommodation?

On Campus Accommodation. I find my accommodation provides value for money and provides all I need.

Have you joined any clubs/societies?

Yes. Raised almost £21000 for charity week with Islamic Society and attended R course with MORSE society. I have also taken part in the organisation of the 2019 Warwick Congress Conference and its marketing.

What do you plan to do when you graduate?

Work in a finance company and sit for qualification exams i.e. study and work, or head back home to explore the business opportunities there.

What makes you happiest about studying at Warwick?

How we rank in the Top 100 universities in the world.

What advice would you give to anyone considering applying?

Make sure you love the place - the life and the environment. Other than that, Warwick is a really good university with a plethora of opportunities.
