How did you find out about Warwick?

I heard about it from researching on the possible universities I can go to.

Did you consider applying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?

I considered studying in St. Andrews for foundation year and Lancaster and Exeter for undergraduate. Majority of my friends stayed and studied in the Philippines. My brother is currently a student in the University of Liverpool.

The main reason I chose Warwick is because I am interested in the course of EPAIS (which is now my firm choice!) The university is one of the top on those subjects. Another, is its location. Its in the Midlands which makes it easier to travel either north or south of UK and I prefer a campus university. The UK has a great education system, has top universities in the world, cheaper and safer than other countries.

How did you find the application process?

Since its for the IFP and not undergraduate study yet I applied online and got my application from the Warwick website. I did the IFP application on my own but I had help for my visa. It all went smoothly.

How is your accommodation?

I live in Claycroft and I believe it is underrated. The accommodation is in the middle of everything so there is easy access to the main campus and Westwood. It is also the nearest one to Tesco. You only share the bathroom with 1 person and only 8 in a flat so it is not that crowded.

Have you joined any clubs or societies?

I am a member of the UN Society where I attended the weekly training sessions and was a volunteer for Warmun. I am also part of the Women's 2nd team of the Volleyball Club where we played for BUCS and WMVA. In addition, I was asked to join the 1st team and play for the Student Cup.

Have you managed to travel at all during your studies so far?

I have been to London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Liverpool, Bath and more (mostly for away games). I am going to Spain for the Volleyball Easter tour then Italy for the break.

What makes you happiest about being a student at Warwick?

The people I am surrounded with. Everybody here is talented and smart and I get inspired to do better. They are also fun to be with and great friends that I believe will be part of my life for a long time.

What do you plan to do when you graduate?

I am not entirely sure it could range from working for corporate to a start up to an international organization. I am not really picky on the country I will go to so it will depend on my offers. However, one thing is for sure that wherever I may go I want to make an impact and work towards something meaningful and for others.

What advice would you give to someone considering studying at Warwick?

I would say go ahead. This is a great environment to study and develop you skills outside the classroom since there are many opportunities given. There is no need to worry about meeting friends because you will find your people but only if you put yourself out there.
