Current students may book an appointment to meet one of the International Student Advisers at the University of Warwick to discuss visa related issues.

Demand for appointments with our advisers can be very high at certain times of year.

If you have a query about:


Then we would like to invite you to book onto one of our weekly Q&A sessions, where an adviser will be available to answer all your questions as a group. You may find you can resolve your query faster in this way, whilst also getting more detailed information and potentially even meeting other students in a similar position:

However, if you have already attended a Q&A session, have another query, or if your query is complex, we can offer 1:1 advice on the following topics (please ensure that if your query is about one of the subject above, you mention in the appointment booking request that you have already attended the Q&A. This is to avoid your appointment being cancelled and re-booked onto the Q&A session):




      • Any complex issue which may impact your ability to study/right to study but please note we do not offer appointments for skilled worker visa / settlement related enquiries except if this would affect your ability to complete your course

      WARNING: Please be aware that, at busy times, your appointment may be cancelled if it is in relation to a topic covered in one of our Q&A events (see above) and if you have not provided details with your appointment request about the questions you have which are not covered on our website. This is out of fairness to other students and we thank you for your understanding.

      Section 3: How do I make an appointment to meet an Adviser?

      You can book an appointment via your MyAdvantage portal:


      If this is the first time you use MyAdvantage, you will be asked to answer some short questions about career preference on the log in page.


      If you cannot find an appointment slot, or, the waiting time for the first available appointment is too long and you need to speak with an adviser urgently, please see information on how to contact us urgentlyLink opens in a new window.


      We offer both online and in-person appointments and so please select your preferred type when booking the appointment.


      All our advising staff for both types of appointments are trained to OISC Level 2.
