Details

This session consists of a series of activities, mainly using self-reflection through use of a workbook, but also some group work with current university students. The session length is approximately 50-60 minutes but can be fitted in with the school timetable. The activities are aimed to help students prepare for future decisions during their school career and include:

• Self-reflective questionnaires
• Research of different university courses
• Group work to discuss different options
• Opportunities to interact with Warwick Student Ambassadors – Current University students

Aims

• To introduce young people to options at GCSE/BTEC level
• To explore progression routes with a view to Higher Education (HE) or jobs

Outcomes

• Gaining an insight into HE
• An understanding of how careers and qualifications work together
• The knowledge of how to research different options
