What we mean

The Widening Participation and Social Mobility Division has created these webpages to outline the support available for young people who have faced a Disrupted Education. We would like to engage with young people who have the potential to progress to university, but due to disruptions within their education, may face barriers when considering higher education.

We support students from all backgrounds and Disrupted Education is a term used to describe students who have experienced significant, personal barriers to their education. They may, for example, be:

Care Experienced
Estranged from family
Young Adult Carers
Children of military families
Asylum Seekers
Refugees
From Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities
Have faced medical issues during their time at school/college.

The University of Warwick can offer support to students within these groups pre-university or while studying at Warwick. Visit our Disrupted Education pages to find out more.
