MSc Management (Full-Time, 2018 Entry)

Our one-year MSc Management course will transform you from an ambitious graduate into a successful manager. You will learn to apply the skills you acquire in a range of environments including marketing, purchasing, strategic customer management, business consultancy and organisational development.

We believe that studying the theory is only one element that enables you to become a global leader. We focus on developing you as an individual, enhancing your soft-skills and the impact you can have early in your career, whilst furnishing you with a broad conceptual knowledge of management supporting you as your career progresses.

This course is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA).

Core Modules:

All students on the course will complete the Business Immersion and Critical Thinking module, offering intensive learning opportunities, with the objective to bring together the different skills and knowledge needed to understand and manage organisations as a whole.

You will study six compulsory modules to give you a broad overview of key business areas, and three open optional modules to suit your own aspirations. You will be able to choose an Elective Pathway, giving you a deep and specialist insight into a particular sector, organisation type or role. Elective Pathways may include Global, Digital Management and Small/Medium Enterprise and Innovators.

Teaching:
You will refine and build upon your communication, team working, and presentation skills through individual and group work, and develop your personal and professional skills in decision-making, problem-solving, analysis, and critical reflection.

Assessment:
You will have group and individual assessments, plus exams and an individual dissertation.

The MSc Management is a well-established, highly successful course that has been running since 2006. Our alumni are surveyed and the course is ranked internationally as part of the global Financial Times Masters in Management ranking. You must have, or be expecting to obtain, an upper second class honours at Undergraduate level, from a UK university, or overseas equivalent. This stream will suit a wide variety of candidates looking to break into business and we welcome applicants from all academic fields.
