Professional Education - MA. Routes: Individual Route (fully online option)*, School Groups’ Route* (Part-Time, 2018 Entry)

The MA in Professional Education enables you to develop an area of expertise and utilise up-to-date educational research to improve your classroom effectiveness.

This course is suitable for you if you are in teaching and would like to improve your professional competence or progress into a more senior role.

Core Modules:
This course is designed to follow on from the Warwick PGCE programme to upgrade it into a full MA in Professional Education. You can choose to take this anytime over the five year period that your 90 CATS points are valid for, but we recommend that you start it within a year or two of your PGCE, as this course is designed to sit alongside a full-time teaching role.

  • Part A: Foundation Research Methods in Education
  • Part B: Dissertation

* The modules mentioned above may be subject to change. Please read our terms and conditions for more detailed information.

Teaching:
Foundation Research Methods in Education is an online module delivered by Warwick's Centre for Education Studies. The dissertation is individually supervised by a member of academic staff, from the Centre for Teacher Education. Tutorials can be either by Skype or on the Warwick campus.
