Human Resource Management and Employment Relations MSc explores the contemporary issues in workplace management and employment relations in a global context. Gain a thorough understanding of all aspects of human resource management and employment relations at Warwick Business School.

Our course includes full Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) accreditation, offering you the chance to gain a Level 7 (Advanced Certificate) CIPD qualification while you study.

Teaching

You will be taught by leading experts within the field of human resource management and employment relations, as well as hearing from visiting industry guest lecturers – from managers in international firms, to HR consultants and labour disputes conciliators.

Contact Hours

Each module will have between 27 and 35 hours of contact time, which will usually mean one three-hour session per week for one term, per module. Delivery of modules varies – some are taught over the course of a term, whilst others are delivered in an intensive 5-day block.

Assessment

You will be assessed by a mix of exams, essays, presentations and group work, followed by your dissertation.

Skills from this degree

  • Tailor your options to your own interests, giving you the opportunity to specialise in Human Resources, Employment Relations, or gain an in-depth understanding of both disciplines
  • Gain practical skills with our compulsory Human Resource Management Professional Practice module. Cover everything from recruitment and selection, to performance management and compensation
  • Gain full CIPD accreditation, with the opportunity to study for a Level 7 (Advanced Certificate) CIPD qualification alongside your MSc
  • Study with European students through the MEST (Master Européen en Sciences du Travail) network

Minimum requirements 2:i undergraduate degree (or equivalent). We welcome applicants from all academic fields.

We have over £2 million of WBS Scholarships available to the strongest candidates to our Master’s courses. You will automatically be considered for a WBS Scholarship upon submitting your course application. Scholarship awards range from 25% of your tuition fee to a maximum of 50% for exceptional candidates.
