Pursue the MA by Research in Italian at the University of Warwick, with guidance from one of our internationally-leading experts. Warwick's School of Modern Languages and Cultures invite you to be part of an exciting, vibrant research culture.

Before you arrive, you will be matched to one or more of our expert supervisors and during the course. You will meet with them frequently for guidance on the conceptualisation, research and writing of your Dissertation. This will include reading and discussion of draft material.

You will also be expected to participate in the research culture of the School, for example by attending research seminars.

  • Medieval and Renaissance Intellectual Culture - the reception of texts and ideas, and their relationship with institutions of learning and habits of reading, including manuscript and print culture
  • 18th and 19th century Literary Cultures in comparative perspective
  • Literary, cinematic and cultural studies in the 20th and 21st centuries
  • Transnational engagements with Italy in post-Unification culture - migration, mobility and the postcolonial
