Our one-year MSc Management course shows the path an ambitious graduate can take to become a successful manager in the world of business.

Ranked 4th in the UK by the QS Business Masters Rankings 2025 and 3rd in the UK by the Financial Times, our MSc Management is an intensive course that brings together the different disciplines within business and management. It will help you accelerate your development to leadership roles in large companies, as an entrepreneur, or in making an impact in mid-size firms and family enterprises.
We immerse you in what it means to lead and manage a business as a whole, helping you to discover how to bring together the teams and skills that are needed to make great decisions and successfully implement them in today’s highly competitive global markets.
Our wide range of elective modules allow you to develop a focus that accelerates your career. For example, you can choose our optional specialism in Entrepreneurship, which offers the chance to delve deeper and gain an in-depth knowledge of this area. We also offer the opportunity for a self-organised internship to be recognised as part of the programme, enabling you to immediately put your learning into practice.
Becoming a leader in today’s dynamic world of business needs more than a firm grasp of theories and concepts. We focus on developing you as an individual, enhancing your soft-skills and the impact you can have early in your career. Our emphasis is on how your personal skills are successfully combined with the integrated view of the management concepts that will support you as your career progresses.
Our five-day international elective modules with our partner schools are now an integrated part of your curriculum, offering you the opportunity to include a first-hand international experience to enrich your MSc Management learning.

Over three terms you will complete six core modules, alongside four optional modules designed to help you focus on your own areas of interest. One of these optional modules must be selected from our International Management suite, and students will be given a selection of topics and locations from which to choose. Assessment of these modules will vary, and you could be assessed by group presentation, peer assessment, individual assignment, or examination. Your studies will be completed by your dissertation.
You’ll also be offered optional free foreign language study in the evenings across all three terms. This is an opportunity to develop the basics of a new language. There is a choice of six different languages, all at beginner-level (please note we are not able to offer classes at intermediate/advanced level).

The typical class size for this course is around 260 students.

Students will typically receive between 27 and 30 contact hours per module via a mixture of virtual and in-person support. Some modules are taught over the course of a 10 week term, whilst others are delivered in an intensive block of up to 10 days.

Assessment for modules varies to fit the subject being studied. You will have some individual assignments where we present the business challenge we want you to address, and others where we ask you to choose. In addition, group assignments will give you the chance to work together with your fellow students, and some will have an element of peer assessment to help you develop your skills in teams. Some modules conclude with an exam and the course will conclude with the completion of your individual dissertation.
Your timetable
Your personalised timetable will be complete when you are registered for all modules, core and optional, and you have been allocated to your lectures, seminars and other small group classes. Your core modules will be registered for you and you will be able to choose your optional modules when you join us.
There may be events taking place in the evenings. Classes may run up to 7pm and other events, such as careers presentations may take place later or on weekends. Occasionally, classes and exams may be held on weekends. We will notify you in advance if this is the case.
This is a full-time course, so there are no holidays as such. However, the two weeks covering Christmas and New Year are guaranteed to be free from lectures. There may also be weeks free over the Easter period (check with your programme team). Resit exams may take place outside of standard teaching periods.
Students will be required to take an International Management module, and most of these involve international travel. Flights accommodation will be provided for these, but you may incur some extra costs.

Additional course cost
Students will take an international module as one of their elective options. WBS will cover the cost of travel, accommodation and some subsistence, but there may be some additional costs incurred by the student as part of this.
Some costs, such as Visa fees, must initially be covered by the student as WBS can’t apply for a Visa on your behalf – but will be reimbursed by WBS.

At least a 2:1 degree at Undergraduate level. We welcome students from diverse backgrounds including arts, social sciences, humanities, engineering and mathematics.
Applicants with three or more years of post-graduation professional business experience are typically better suited to our Full-Time MBA programme. Our wide range of elective modules allows you to tailor your course of study to reflect the focus you want to follow. Alongside the core content of our MSc Management course, you can choose to specialise in entrepreneurship by selective two specialist electives and basing your dissertation in this area. On completion, you will gain a letter of acknowledgement from the Dean of Warwick Business School to confirm your success in this specialised study area. Modules for this specialism will include:
