Prepare for your time abroad with our Intercultural Training

Are you going to be on a placement abroad in 2018/19?
As you continue to prepare for your time abroad, we want to remind you to sign up to participate in the Intercultural Training programme that you heard about during your pre-departure briefings last term.

The free programme is delivered in three stages that aim to support you before, during and after your time overseas.

We have received loads of positive feedback from students who have participated in the programme in recent years, who often comment on how the training helped prepare them for living in another culture, challenged their assumptions and supported them in developing and articulating the intercultural skills that many employers are looking for.

The first stage (before you go) involves a 90 minute interactive workshop followed by four short online modules which include theory, activities and stories from other students who have experienced life abroad.

There are several workshop dates to choose from over the first few weeks of term, and more will be opened up in line with demand – please book your place as soon as you can.

We hope you enjoy the training and that it helps you to make the most of your time abroad!
