Short admin internships in rural South West France in 2020
"Position of Administrative Assistant
Anglais in France offers Erasmus/Year Abroad Administrative Assistant internships all year round for a maximum duration of 2 months for university students studying French. The minimum required level of both French and English is B2/C1. Interns work Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
The internship involves assisting in the management of client files concerning their participation in language programmes and homestays. The primary language used in the business is French, but you will be expected to write professional emails and make phone calls to our clients in both French and English. Jennifer Laur, company CEO, will help you to develop your ability to use French in a business environment.
You will also have the opportunity to carry out market research and write posts for the company's social media platforms. In addition, we will introduce you to the language of HTML and website design.
We are able to offer you free French lessons taught by one of our professional teachers to help you progress with your French during your stay.
We also provide three-course meals made from local produce every working day, and offer cultural and sporting activities in the evenings and at weekends - horse-riders particularly welcome! There are events going on in the area almost every week throughout the year, from local festivals to outdoor film screenings, enabling you to interact with the locals and get a real taste of authentic French culture during your stay.
Our headquarters are located in a rural area an hour away from Toulouse in the southwestern region of Occitanie. Vazerac, where we are based, is a small medieval village of around 750 inhabitants. The village itself has no public transport links, so interns are welcome to bring a car, although this is not essential.
We can help you find a French host family to stay with, or you can stay on-site in our fully-equipped gîte, so there is no need to worry about organising your own accommodation.
You can start your internship anytime from January 2020 for a maximum duration of 2 months. We take on interns throughout the academic year and during university holidays. This vacancy would be ideal for Year Abroad students looking for an Erasmus-funded work placement or traineeship. If you are required by your university to be in the country for longer than 2 months, we may be able to find you another placement near the area of Vazerac to reach this duration.
There is no financial compensation for this internship, but you may be eligible for funding under the Erasmus+ programme.
