Eligible candidates who apply before 26th January 2022 to study an undergraduate degree or International Foundation Programme course at the University of Warwick in September 2022 will be contacted directly with details on how to formally apply for the scholarship. Please note that to apply for this scholarship, you must:
- Be self-funded
- Be classed as an 'overseas' or ‘international-fee paying’ student for tuition fee purposes
- Have applied for a full-time undergraduate course at the University of Warwick starting in 2022 before 26th January 2022
- Submit the scholarship application before 5.00pm on Monday 28th March 2022 BST
- By May 20th 2022 hold an offer to begin an undergraduate degree programme in 2022, in any subject area (including our Foundation courses, but excluding the MBChB course).

Within a few days of submitting your UCAS application form, if you are eligible for the Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship, you will be contacted directly by us and invited to apply for this scholarship. Unfortunately not. This is a graduate entry course and the Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship is for undergraduate students only.
Yes, you are eligible to apply and, if successful, your scholarship would continue for the duration of your undergraduate studies as long as you meet the conditions of your progression to undergraduate studies offer.
You are required to have submitted an application to an eligible University of Warwick programme before the 26 January 2022. If you are eligible to apply for the Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship, you will be contacted directly with information on how to apply. The scholarship application form will remain open until 28th February 2022. You do not need to be in possession of an offer to study at Warwick when you apply for the scholarship.

Yes you can. You will need to complete a new scholarship application for consideration.
Once you have submitted your application through UCAS, you can apply for this scholarship. You will be sent a link to apply in an email so please look out for this. You need to first register for a Warwick IT account and then many aspects of the form will be automatically filled for you with your details. The application form will clearly indicate any fields that need populating. The application form will include questions designed to assess your suitability for being awarded the scholarship. Please note it can take up to 48 hours to be allocated your IT account so please factor this into your time frame for applying.

We will be using a number of different criteria to shortlist suitable candidates, including:
- The strength of your academic profile as stated on your UCAS form or IFP application form
- That you are Overseas for fees purposes
- That you submitted your application to the University of Warwick before 26 January 2022
- That you are planning to start your studies at the University of Warwick in the autumn of 2022
- That you are self-funded (i.e. not receiving a full tuition fee scholarship from another source
- The strength of the answers stated on your application form.
All of these criteria will be considered individually and also compared against the pool of applicants for the scholarship. Scholarships will be allocated across all departments to recognise academic excellence in all areas.
You can only submit one application to the Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship however if you are successful you will be able to apply the scholarship to either of the courses you hold an offer for.
These are linked to your application and demonstrate to us your fee status (Home or Overseas). Fee status is used in the selection criteria as this scholarship is only open to students who are classed as overseas for fees purposes. The deadline to submit an application is 5:00pm Monday 28th March 2022 BST.
You can save your scholarship application and can return to update or delete any part of it, at any stage until you submit your application, or until the application deadline passes. After this no further amendments can be made.
After you have submitted your scholarship application, you will receive an automated email confirming receipt of your submission. Applications will be scored as the University releases admissions offers however shortlisting will not take place until all applications have been processed. The Awards Panel, chaired by the Provost Professor Chris Ennew will meet at the end of May. Applicants will be notified of the outcome via e-mail in the first week of June. Most eligible students will be emailed with a decision after the closing deadline, but we may contact you with a decision earlier if application criteria does not match the eligibility requirements.
Warwick will be processing admissions applications until the UCAS deadline in May and scholarship applications will need to be considered and scored in line with this. The scholarship outcomes will be released before the UCAS Reply By Deadline on the 9th June so that you can make an informed decision about your firm and insurance choices.
The University will start assessing applications as offers are made by Admissions. You will be notified of the outcome of your application via email once all applications have been assessed and the Awards Panel has met.
Yes, changing your course of study on your UCAS application may affect your scholarship application. If this situation occurs, please contact email@example.com as soon as possible.
No. The only exception is if you are currently enrolled on one of our International Foundation Programmes. In this case, you will be eligible to apply for the scholarship once you have submitted your application to progress to undergraduate studies.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to defer your scholarship. This scholarship is only valid for 2022 entry only.
Yes! We’re pleased to confirm that the scheme will run in 2023 however the awards and application process may change so please check back in Autumn 2022 to find more up to date information.
The scholarship is valid for the full duration of your undergraduate studies, whether you are enrolled in a three or four year course, and you will be required to make suitable progress in your studies to retain the scholarship. Underperformance in your studies may result in your scholarship being withdrawn.
Yes, you will be able to take a year out in industry or participate in an exchange programme. Your scholarship will continue if the year in industry or exchange programme is an integral and compulsory part of your undergraduate degree and has a tuition fee attached for the year. A scholarship for those fees will be allocated in proportion to the scholarship value you receive. If it is an optional part of your degree, the scholarship will be paused until you return to your core studies at the University.
All students who need a visa via the Student Route to study at the University of Warwick are allowed to work for up to 20 hours per week during term time and full time during any vacation periods.
