There is plenty to do and see on our open days, to help you to plan the day we have listed all the things you will be able to do on the day under the following headings:
General Sessions to book in advance
Except for the below two sessions all other general sessions are now fully booked:
International Students Information Presentation and Q&A (45 mins): This presentation will provide information about the services and support that the University can offer to international students
Your Union (30 mins): Come along to find out about the wide range of fantastic new facilities and venues, clubs and societies and nights out available, plus find out how your union supports you
Tours of Campus
10:00-15:30 Campus Tours (45 mins): Tour tickets are available from the Tours Marquee. Each tour will last approx 45 minutes. Tours depart every 15 minutes from 10:00 until 15:30, and you can select whichever time that you wish. The tours are on foot so please dress accordingly for the weather conditions. Campus tours are led by current students and will introduce prospective students to campus facilities, including departmental and social buildings, and the library. Please note: the Library is only accessible as part of a campus tour
Please note: The Library is only accessible as part of a campus tour due to the busy examinations period and studying. Please collect a ticket for your tour of campus and on your tour you will be guided around the first floor of the library where you can see books, PCs, working areas, the reading room and the café
10:00-16:00 A selection of accommodation blocks will be open for you to drop-in to on the day. The blocks are indicated on the campus map and will be open from 10:00-16:00. Drop-in to the different blocks to see a range of accommodation types, from en-suite to shared facilities, including bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens.
11:00-15:00 Chaplaincy drop-in: Meet the Chaplains and enjoy refreshments. The Chaplaincy is all-faiths and no-faiths friendly and you are invited to view the facilitieis for worship, meetings, relaxation and study
10:00-16:00 Exhibition: Includes many departments and services, and offers you the chance to talk to a range staff and students. Click here for more information about our exhibition and to view our virtual exhibition of participating departments.
Language Modules for Any Degree
10:00-16:00 The Language Centre is open for drop-in for students interested in any subject area who may wish to study a language alongside their degree. Drop in to view our facilities and find out about the range of extra curricular courses on offer in a wide range of languages from beginners to advanced level
10:30-15:00 Visit the Learning Grid, the University Library's 24 hours, 7 days a week access facility in University House Drop in to view the Learning Grid facilities which encourage group work, discussion, problem solving, mind mapping and presentation activities, plus PCs and core textbooks
Meet the Students
14:00-15:30 Meet the Students drop-in: Take this chance to ask the students what life at Warwick is really like, in an informal setting. Our students represent a variety of faculties and courses and will be on hand to give you information based on their own personal experiences
10:00-16:00 Music Centre drop-in: The Music Centre is open to visitors, come and find out about the facilities available to students from all courses
Sports Facilities Tours
10:00-16:00 Sports Centre Tours: Guided tours of the Sports Centre will be running throughout the day, come along and view the facilities on offer, including the swimming pool, gym, playing courts and climbing wall
11:00-12:00, 12:30-1:30, 2:00-3:00: Guided Tour of Sports Facilities (60 mins): Take a tour of our sports facilities including outdoor playing fields and pitches, the indoor tennis centre, and our running track, a must for anyone interested in Warwick Sport!
10:00-16:00 Tours of the Student Union: This fantastic facility in the heart of campus is the social hub of Warwick and, having undergone an £11m redevelopment which was completed in January 2010, has brand new facilities and spaces. Drop in on the day to have a look around what will be a key social and relaxation space during your time at Warwick, see the light, bright, and exciting new atrium space, or take the opportunity to take a break or grab refreshments from the range of cafes, bars and restaurants. The Students' Union's 'Street Team' will also be on hand to provide tours of the building throughout the day, giving you a feel for what happens throughout the year in this vital space including the SU Headquarters, The Copper Rooms and the Students' Union's many other facilities.
