Responsible Sourcing

To effectively deliver teaching, education and research, the University purchases goods and services. The University has Financial Procedures which require to "ensure those who have authority to purchase or otherwise acquire machinery, work equipment, laboratory and research equipment and facilities, components for machinery or equipment, substances, or services must check that the purchases that they make meet health, safety and environmental requirements relating to supply and use and, where appropriate, disposal." [FP15, 2.2.2]

In collaboration with the Procurement Teams the Sustainability Champions are working to influence an increase in responsible sourcing within the University supply chain. Responsible Procurement can be intergrated into any purchasing decision or procurement activity contact us to find out how we can collaborate.
