The University of Warwick’s Rugby Union First Team will be competing against Coventry University’s Men’s Rugby Union First Team on Sunday 26 February at 5.15pm, right after the Wasps Vs Gloucester game (kick off: 2.15pm), and Warwick Sport and Warwick SU are looking for 15 mascots.

The University of Warwick is boasting 26 years undefeated in the hotly contested inter-university games between Warwickshire’s finest Higher Education institutions. If you want to be part of this exciting day of Rugby, and have the experience of a lifetime by being a Mascot, all you need to do is send us a drawing of your dream sport or activity. The competition is open to all children aged 5 – 12.

What will I win?

You will win a free ticket for you and one parent or legal guardian to watch the Wasps vs Gloucester Rugby match as well as the opportunity to accompany one of the Warwick University Rugby Union players onto the pitch for the finale game of the Varsity 2017 matches.

What would your favourite sport/ activity in the world look like?

Would it be fire powered ice skating? Perhaps it would be something like Baseball, but instead of running you use a skateboard? Maybe your activity takes place underground or under the sea and you would need specific equipment and tools?

What do I have to do?

Simply draw or paint your dream sport or activity and make sure it has a cool background so we can imagine what it’d look like on the grass, or in the sky, or even underground…

Don’t forget to tell us how your sport or activity works and why it’s the best in the world. Please only use your own drawing skills (no computers allowed) and the paper you use must be A4 or A3 in size. With a little bit of creativity (and lots of felt tips, crayons, pencils, paper and paint), you could be on your way to be a mascot at the Warwick University Men’s Rugby Union Varsity Finale in the Ricoh Arena.

How long do I have to create my artwork?

The closing date for entries is Friday 17 February 10am.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday 22 February. Winners will be contacted via email or telephone on Tuesday 21 February.
