Science City Advanced Materials 2 – Acknowledgements and Requirements
- All usage MUST be booked and/or logged as appropriate on the online system.
- All grant applications which rely on using the AM2 equipment must reference AWM and ERDF as the funders as follows:
This application is supported by the facilities funded through Birmingham Science City: Innovative Uses for Advanced Materials in the Modern World, an AWM supported project part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and forming part of the Science City Research Alliance between the University of Warwick and University of Birmingham.
This can go in the "Main Case for Support" or in the "Justification for Resources". This includes all Research Council, European and national government grants. If you are applying for a charity/industrial grant and you have problems with this statement with the format of the application please let me know, I can arrange for an alternative.
I need to know when you have submitted a grant application which requires the use of Science City equipment. I also need to know when you have been successful with a grant application and the grant reference so that we can track levered revenue.
- All publications which report results obtained using Science City equipment need to carry the following acknowledgement:
The [equipment name] used in this research was obtained through Birmingham Science City: Innovative Uses for Advanced Materials in the Modern World with support from Advantage West Midlands (AWM) and part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
I need to know when you have published a paper which has relied on this equipment and I will need a copy of the paper.
- If you present a poster or a talk which includes results obtained using Science City equipment you need to include the following words and logo:
With thanks to Birmingham Science City Advanced Materials 2.
I also need to know when you or any of your students have presented a talk or poster at a conference or seminar (an event attended by people from outside of Warwick). I will need an electronic copy of the poster or presentation.
