The team is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (https://www.nihr.ac.uk/) with the aim to investigate if the ARTISAN Programme with additional physiotherapy treatment sessions is any better than the ARTISAN programme alone for patients who have dislocated their shoulder. ARTISAN is a bespoke programme developed by a national team of clinical experts who are experienced in dealing with shoulder dislocations. The pogramme is also informed by the latest research as well as experiences from patients who had been through similar injuries like you did. It is important to carry out a study in which these two methods are compared so in the future, individuals with similar injuries will receive the best possible treatment. Therefore, the team would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for taking part in this important study.

Now it's time to get started...

  • If you click through each home page box in order (1-6) each will give you a set of guidance to take you through each stage of your progress. However box 2-6 are password protected.
  • When you first consented to take part in the trial you would have been given a booklet titled "Your ARTISAN Exercise Programme". An initial password will be provided at the back of this booklet. This first password will only allows access to the section "2.Initial Advice."
  • When you see your physiotherapist for the first time they will provide you with further booklets with a second password provided. This second password will give you access to the remaining four boxes on the homepage.
