Dr Rika Nair, Dr Russ Hall, and the CENTS project (Circular Economy Network in Transportation Systems) worked with the eSports centre at Warwick to develop a model of Coventry that students could build using a computer game. The 30 students from Ernesford Grange Community Academy, visited campus to develop and build their simulated Coventry, exploring how pollution, traffic, waste, and health can impact an area. The students had the chance to use sustainable technology to repair the damage done. The winning team doubled the population of Coventry whilst recycling waste and reducing emissions and pollution in the air and water.
