Do you have a story to tell?

From January through June 2006 we will be conducting interviews to be used in writing a history of the Hospital. These interviews will be recorded, and at the end of the project the recordings will enter the collections of the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum. The content of the interviews will be made available to visual and performing artists engaged by the project to create work about the Hospital, work that will be presented at a public event in July 2006. A selection of extracts will also be posted on the project website.

Whether your experience is as a member of the public or of hospital staff, we want to hear from you. If you or a member of your family were once a patient and have a story to tell, we want you to tell it to us. Do you live near the Hospital and have memories of significant events there? Do you know something about the Hospital’s history that should be preserved for future generations?

Then we want to hear from you.

We are also looking for people interested in participating in other ways, such as working with visual and performing artists, or helping out with the public event in July 2006. If you would like to participate in the project in some way, please complete our questionnaire (available in both Word and PDF formats). This will help us to understand your association with the hospital and how you might like to get involved.

Please return the questionnaire either by post, at the address below, or as an e-mail attachment:
