George Alagiah worked as a foreign correspondent for the BBC and won several awards, including Amnesty International's Best TV Journalist award in 1994. He is now a newsreader who has presented the BBC Six O'Clock News since 2003, and was appointed OBE in the 2008 New Year Honours.
