David Hart was the Arts Council Poetry Fellow at the University of Warwick from 2001-2002. He has won first prize in both the English National Poetry Competition and the Irish National Poetry Competition. He has written libretti, plays for both theatre and BBC radio, had poetry residencies at Worcester Cathedral and South Birmingham Mental Health NHS Trust, and was Birmingham Poet Laureate in 1998.
