Mobile Design Studio

Our Mobile Design Studio (MDS) is our state-of-the-art design lab on wheels that provides an accessible creative learning space for students.

Whether you're a lecturer teaching students about data visualisation, a business major developing a new product, or a society/club looking for a space to host an event, the MDS is your ultimate creative hub.

What is the MDS?

The MDS is a plywood structure with walls that can be moved to create spaces of several different layouts. It features a variety of equipment, tools, and materials for that cater to both digital and physical design needs. This includes, but is not limited to, the resources required to run printmaking sessions, Lego building workshops, as well as VR and AR sessions.

Where is the MDS?

Housed on the ground floor the Faculty of Arts Building (FAB), the MDS is designed to be a versatile and accessible space for all Warwick University students, faculty, and staff. The mobile nature of the studio means it can be stationed in different positions across the ground floor of the FAB, making it easier for you to access a creative ‘maker-space’ without the need to travel far from your usual study or work area.
