Russia's Influence on its Neighbours: On the Wane?

Russia's Influence on its Neighbours: On the Wane?

Online, 19 June (3pm UK; 4pm CET; 5pm EET/Minsk)

This webinar will evaluate the changing perceptions of Russia within both Ukrainian and Belarusian societies. Russia’s February 2022 invasion turned many of those Ukrainians who might otherwise have been sympathetic to Moscow’s worldview against it, although Russia still has agents of influence in Ukraine. In Belarus, meanwhile, Russia's influence appears to be increasing, not only militarily and economically but also in society itself. What is happening with Russian influence in Ukraine and Belarus? How much influence does the EU have over each society’s views of Russia?
