Elections without peace and democracy

Elections without peace and democracy

Online, 28 February 2024 (3pm GMT; 4pm CET; 5pm EET; 6pm Minsk)

2024 is a year of elections round the world. In Ukraine, the war has delayed an election due at the expiry of President Zelenskyy's original five-year term.

In February, Belarus will hold a parliamentary election - its first vote since the 2020 protests - and both the country and its opposition look towards 2025 when a presidential election is due.

This webinar will discuss the prospects for a democratic vote in Ukraine without peace, and in Belarus without democracy.
