MGS Student Eleonora Alabrese referenced in the Independent
Many congratulations to our Midland Graduate School funded student Eleonora Alabrese from the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick, who has been referenced in the Independent newspaper. ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme - Applications now open
Applications for ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship competition with the Midlands Graduate School commencing in October 2019 are now open. The final deadline for applications is 16.00 on Friday 22nd March 2019 although there are earlier individual institutional deadlines that may apply.

Better Lives: ESRC’s Writing Competition
Are you an ESRC-funded PhD student?
The ESRC want to hear from you about how your research contributes to people having better lives, and why your research matters.
The ESRC are running their third Writing Competition to reward outstanding written communication and to communicate social science research to the wider general public.
They'd like you to write about your research in an article of no more than 800 words, and send it to the ESRC by 16.00 on 7 December 2018. The writers of all shortlisted articles will be invited to attend a writing masterclass run by our partner SAGE Publishing and an award ceremony in London. Winners will receive a £1000 prize and two runners up will each receive £500.

Artificial Intelligence Studentship: Multi-view Representations for Pose Invariant Face Recognition in Man and Machine
