National Knowledge Week

Focus on the Specialist Library for Ethnicity and Health (SLEH)

During the National Knowledge Week experts will provide informed editorial comment alongside selected links to the most reliable and up-to-date available evidence relating to the topic and hosted on the NLH specialist library. Each day during the week, a different sub-topic will be covered, under the overall theme of Cultural Competence in Health Care Service Delivery.

Topics covered during the week include: 

Diabetic Care
Interpretation and Language Support
Supporting People in Mental Health
Screening for diseases
End of Life Care

Among the contributors will be Warwick Medical School's Professor of Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology Sudhesh Kumar, Consultant Psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital Dr Raj Persaud, Professor Kamaldeep Bhui from the Wolfson Institute of Preventative Medicine and Allison Streetly from the NHS Screening Committee.
