Celebrating success at our MB ChB Student Awards evening
The MB ChB Student Awards Evening took place on Monday 1 December 2014. Thirty six students were awarded prizes in a variety of categories. The event was hosted by Dr Colin Melville, Head of Medical Education with an address from Professor Lesley Roberts, Pro-Dean for Education and an introduction to one prize from Dr Paul O’Hare. Our own Dean of Medicine, Professor Peter Winstanley presented the prizes.
The awards evening is an annual celebration of student achievement on the MB ChB course. Colin said, ”The evening is a great opportunity for us to take time out of the busy curriculum to honour and celebrate the achievements of our amazing students, who due to their commitment and effort continue to excel in so many ways.“
