A recent query: *One of my gentlemen was doing well with his exercise over the last few months then went to cornwall. He had swollen legs and his son who is a GP said to him it was due to using the weights and he shouldn't be using them !!!!* * I quickly booked him a face to face contact to discuss this. I feel it was more likely due to his varicose veins and long distance travelling but I have advised him to continue the exercise with no weights for the time being and then we may reintroduce a 0.5 in a few weeks.* * I thought this was a better option than him withdrawing. He had no swelling when I saw him.* *Is it ok to be doing the exercises without any weights?* This is absolutely the correct decision and I agree that long distance travelling is more likely to be the cause. But obviously the participant may need a lot of reassurance regarding this. If any participants have issues using the weights and are reluctant to use them anymore then they can continue without the weights or a lower weight and if possible re-introduce them at a later date.
