Associate Fellow

Dr Chrystalla Kaloyirou is an Associate Fellow in the Centre for Educational Development, Appraisal and Research (CEDAR). She holds a B.Ed (Hons) in Education and an M.Ed. in Human Relations and Counselling in Education from the University of Nottingham. On January 2005 she got her Ph.D. at the University of Warwick (UK). She has worked as a member of the Curriculum Development Unit of the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture and as a teacher trainer at the Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus. Her educational research interests include child aggression, bullying in schools, children’s social development, intercultural education and teacher’s training. She is currently involved in various European projects on intercultural and citizenship education, preventing violence in schools, teachers’ needs and teacher education.
