We are delighted to announce that Professor Anderson has been appointed as the new Director of PPE and a joint Professor in Politics and Economics at Warwick.

Chris's research focuses on the micro-foundations of markets and democracy and examines how economic and political structures shape citizens’ judgments and behaviours. He has written on the popularity of governments and the legitimacy of political institutions, the link between welfare states, income inequality, and citizen behaviour, and the political behaviour of immigrants. Most recently, Chris was Professor of Government and Labor Relations at Cornell University; currently, he is also a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics.

Students and staff on the PPE programme are looking forward to working closely with Chris on the PPE programme's continued success.

Balraj Dhingra (finalist in BA PPE) has been elected as Sports Officer for the next academic year. He beat four other candidates in the most contested race of the Students' Union elections this year.

Great news that there is now a space for our staff and students to attend PPE conferences on a global scale with UNC's PPE Society.

They are holding their first international conference today in New Orleans.

The Director of PPE will be Professorial Teaching Fellow. The appointee will enhance the programme’s reputation both nationally and internationally, and play a leading role in shaping the continued development and direction of teaching on this programme seeing significant growth and innovation. They academic lead for our programme and provide strategic leadership in all aspects of teaching and learning. Apply here.

The Director of Student Experience and Progression will be a Senior Teaching Fellow. They will support the bridge between the academic, pastoral and administrative provision of our programme. Theycoordinate and lead on pre-university widening participation, outreach, and recruitment activities; at-university transition from school to undergraduate studies, systematic ‘birds-eye view’ monitoring of student progress and welfare t; and the post-university development of alumni relations, linking back to recruitment, widening participation, employability and internships.
