Course Transfer Application - Year Away Form
The WBS ‘Year Away’ is an umbrella term the Undergraduate Programme uses to refer to all 4-year degree programmes which include a study abroad placement(s), work UK and/or abroad placement(s), or a combination of both. The Year Away community is made up of BSc Accounting and Finance with Placement Year, BSc Accounting and Finance with Undergraduate Partnership Programme, BSc International Business, BSc International Management, BSc Management with Placement Year, and BSc Management with Undergraduate Partnership Programme.
The WBS Year Away degree enables you to put your studies into practice while learning about a particular industry or broadening your academic horizons studying abroad. Employers often look for workplace and international experience as part of their recruitment process and many make graduate offers to students as a direct result of placements so this can be a great way to kick-start your career.
Changing your degree is a big decision - whether you’d like to join our year away community or are exploring a change to the 3 year version of your degree programme, we’re here to help support you in making an informed decision that works for you.
- If you’d like additional guidance to discuss potential impact of change of degree on your employability/future careers plans, the UG CareersPlus team are on hand to explore this with you. You can contact Giorgia, Chris & Lucy on ugcareers@wbs.ac.uk or book an appointment through MyAdvantage.
