Golden Shifts No. 3 was also included in the exhibition 'Between Scylla and Charybdis' at the Mead Gallery. This relief, in which Hugo used found objects and materials, has harmony and balance underlined by the use of comlementary colours for the two central elements but the apparent arrested movement of these shapes gives pleasing sense of tension to the work.
