Eva Holmström was born in Sweden; she studied fine art in the USA where she subsequently married and settled.

She exhibited at a number of galleries in America and one of her works, an oil and wax crayon drawing 'Gateway II', was acquired for the 20th Century Art Department of the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
