Born 1958 Died 2008
Partou Zia, studied History of Art here from 1977 - 1980. She was born in Tehran and in 1970 she moved to the UK, London, with her family as a refugee. Her time at Warwick impelled her to explore what it means to be human in her subsequent academic and creative practice.
Partou’s fond memories of studying here prompted her widower Richard Cook to offer three paintings by her to the University art collection.
