Glue Words by R B Kitaj
|
In the 1960s the contents and composition of Kitaj's prints were derived from film, with the sense of a rolling sequence of images and editorial cutting. Glue Words comes from the suite of prints "Mahler Becomes Politics, Beisbol" published in 1967 which is concerned with how photography and film have altered our sense of aesthetics in their ability to command a mass audience.
